MJ can be contacted for a wide range of commissions, anything from large works to advertising jingles and theme tunes.
MJ′s composing and songwriting skills cover a broad canvas from extended choral pieces to musicals and pop songs.
Her recent successes include 'Ginger Chorale' (performed at the Royal Festival Hall, filmed by BBC 1 and used as the soundtrack in SKY Real Lives Short Stories), ‘Vive Moderne’ (commissioned by Sir Terence Conran and Bluestorm) and ' David Blunkett the Musical' (in collaboration with Ginny Dougary, starring Robert Bathurst) which was showcased in the West End and attended by among others; John Sergeant, Sir Terence Conran, Julie Myerson, Deborah Moggach, Ann Leslie, India Knight, Theodore Zeldin, Suzanne Moore, Olga Polizzi and Pen Hadow.
Every year MJ composes at least one new work for her choral concert at the Brighton Festival Fringe, and this year she has been commissioned by Wandsworth Council to write a song especially for The Wandsworth Arts Festival in May.
She has also written a collection of songs for children which are regularly performed and she intends to publish these for distribution in schools.
MJ is one of the 60 appointed members of the Music Manifesto set up by Howard Goodall.
In 2005, she received her postgraduate degree in Musical Composition from Trinity College of Music.
